Stacie is a dance artist, filmmaker and PhD scholarship candidate researching creative digital technology for performing arts education at De Montfort University.

In 2018 Stacie began her PhD journey. Her study is focused on evaluating the role of digital creativity in pre-HE performing arts education and examining the national shortfall in digital performance capabilities of students entering HE courses and industry. Through practice-based research methodology comprised of digital workshops, interviews and focus-groups, Stacie aims to develop a resource for the teaching and learning of digital skills for the 21st Century performing artist.

Before beginning her PhD Stacie completed a two-year research project at the University of Kent, School of Arts developing an online digital resource comprising over 60 films for foundational actor training. Stacie is also currently the Digital and Communications Assistant at People United (Arts and Kindness Charity), an Honorary Senior Research Associate at University of Kent, HE advisory board member at Digital Theatre, a member of Performance 21 (Centre for 21st Century Studies in Performance, Malta), a board member at Jasmin Vardimon Education Company and currently commissioned artist at Turner Contemporary.

Stacie achieved a first class BA Hons Degree in dance from the University of Chester in 2011 and went on to gain an MFA in Choreography from the University of Roehampton in 2013.
