In response to Turner Contemporary’s Seaside: Photographed exhibition 2019, myself and artist Bethan Peters were commissioned to create two new artworks inspired by families contemporary experiences of life in a coastal town. During Spring 2019, we delivered workshops to families in collaboration with Thanet Early Years Project exploring the seaside through play, movement and digital media.
The film – which is part home movie, part cine-choreography – traces tender moments of fun, laughter and love as families play, dance and embrace on Margate’s beach.
