Over the years Stacie has worked on closely with Judi on several creative projects and notable during the rehearsal and development of her one woman show that abstractly depicted the life of Mary Woolstencroft.
Using the camera as a tool for investigation (and in parts interrogation of the character Judi was developing) we were able to extrapolate some very interesting qualities regarding the role Judi was working with and bring a new tension to the rehearsal space.
Following discussion, Stacie and Judi agreed that the presence of the camera was much more than a device for recording. The filmed work at times becomes an art work within itself. It can move beyond the rhythm and staging of a live show and be re-presented in the frame of a screen with new focus, that exists alone however with roots firmly within the curiosity of the creation process.
