There's a fine line between too much and not enough | Dance Theatre

There’s a fine line between too much and not enough (2013) is a dance-theatre work directed and choreographed by Stacie in collaboration with her dancers.

The work celebrates all things disco, blurring the lines of gender and identity while teetering at the boundaries of social norms; where acceptable behaviour and outrageous action meet in a rip-roaring night of high waisted trousers and girl power.

The work raised questions of sanity and madness and the precarious line that lives within us all, and through exploring ways of exploiting our instinctual social code, what can we learn about ourselves and the world around us.

This work was submitted in partial fulfilment of Stacie’s MFA Choreography thesis along with a self-psychoanalysis document generated throughout the making process.
