Dance |Digital| Research

Stacie is a Kent-based, Yorkshire-born dance artist, filmmaker and PhD scholarship candidate at De Montfort University. Her work is interdisciplinary and her research is based at the intersection of performing arts, digital technology and education. An experienced artist, teacher and performer Stacie’s work spans choreographic practices and cinematographic techniques and she specialises in screendance, installation art and filmmaking. 

Following a two-year Leverhulme-Trust funded position as a Research Associate at the University of Kent, Stacie was made an Honorary Senior Research Associate in the School of Arts and continues to work alongside Professor Paul Allain on a number of projects following the development of their work ‘Physical Actor Training: an online A-Z‘ which was published by Methuen Drama Bloomsbury on Drama Online in Summer 2018. In 2019 Stacie became a commissioned artist at Turner Contemporary alongside her long-term collaborator, Bethan Peters and their work is part of the summer exhibition Seaside Photographed.

In 2018 Stacie was appointed as a trustee at the Jasmin Vardimon Educational Company and a PhD representative member of the HE advisory board at Digital Theatre+.
